Applicant from other EU Member State

 

A Finnish certificate of electrical qualification (supervisor of electrical works) can be issued to a European Union citizen according to Directive 2005/36/EC when:

Article 13 – Person in question has a valid electrical qualification certificate in EU Member State required for the supervisor of electrical works

OR

Article 17 – Person in question fulfills one of the following requirements:

  1. the applicant has been employed in EU Member State for six consecutive years as a self-employed basis as an electrical contractor or as a supervisor of electrical works for an electrical contractor; or
  2. the applicant has been employed in EU Member State for three consecutive years as a self-employed basis as an electrical contractor or as a supervisor of electrical works for an electrical contractor if the applicant demonstrates that he has received previous training of at least three years for the activity in question, evidenced by a certificate recognized by the Member State or judged by a competent professional body to be fully valid; or
  3. the applicant has been employed in EU Member State for four consecutive years as a self-employed basis as an electrical contractor or as a supervisor of electrical works for an electrical contractor if the applicant demonstrates that he has received previous training of at least two years for the activity in question and , evidenced by a certificate recognized by the Member State or judged by a competent professional body to be fully valid.
  4. for three consecutive years on a self-employed basis, if the beneficiary can prove that he has pursued the activity in question on an employed basis for at least five years; or
  5. for five consecutive years in an executive position, of which at least three years involved technical duties and responsibility for at least one department of the company, if the beneficiary can prove that he has received, for the activity in question, previous training of at least three years’ duration, as attested by a certificate recognised by the Member State or judged by a competent professional body to be fully valid.

In cases (a) and (d), the activity must not have finished more than 10 years before the date on which the complete application was submitted by the person concerned to the competent authority.
